The Firefly family of generative AI-based editing models has been introduced by Adobe. Joining a waitlist will give you access to the new AI model, which is currently undergoing beta testing. In the near future, Firefly will be integrated with a number of Adobe applications, including Adobe express and Adobe creative cloud.
In a blog post on Wednesday, Adobe announced the new generative AI-based editing programme, stating, "Firefly will mix the power of our apps with the promise of generative AI in ways that empower you to express your creative ideas with more efficiency and without limitations."
“We’re entering a world where you’ll be able to bring your creative idea to life just by describing what you want in your own words, or with a simple gesture in your app" the corporation added.
Copyright owners and new image-generation platforms have been in a perpetual battle. Getty Images sued Steady AI earlier this year for exploiting 12 million photographs from its website to train its AI algorithm.
Giving creators new superpowers with Adobe Firefly
Adobe created Firefly to give all creative superpowers so they can work as quickly as their imaginations allow. With Adobe Firefly, anyone who creates content—regardless of experience or skill—will be able to use their own words to generate content exactly as they envision it—from images, audio, vectors, videos, and 3D to creative ingredients, like brushes, colour gradients, and video transformations—with greater speed and ease than ever before. Producing countless variations of material and making changes repeatedly while staying on brand will be quick and easy using Adobe Firefly. Additionally, Adobe will immediately integrate Firefly into its market-leading tools and services, enabling users to easily deploy generative AI within their applications.
A Focus on the Client
To help creators capitalise on their talents and ingenuity, Adobe is developing generative AI:
Increasing the productivity of creators: As content drives the world economy, creativity and design are more valuable than ever. In a recent Adobe study, 88% of brands claimed that content demand had at least doubled in the previous year, and two-thirds predicted that it would increase by 5x over the following two years. With solutions for working more quickly, intelligently, and conveniently, Adobe is using generative AI to lessen this burden. Customers can train Adobe Firefly using their own materials to produce content in their own distinctive style or brand language.
Paying creators: Like Adobe has done with Adobe Stock and Behance, Adobe wants to build generative AI in a way that allows users to monetize their skills. After Adobe Firefly is released from beta, Adobe will provide further information on the pay scheme it is creating for Adobe Stock contributors.
Adobe also intends to make Adobe Firefly accessible via APIs on a number of platforms, allowing users to incorporate it into their own automated processes and workflows.
